Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I could not find anything from my searches that really answered the question.
I would like to do work on my car and will be wanting to put it on jack stands. I was going to jack the car up at the "emergency jack" points one at a time and put the stand under the car, but I am not sure where it should be.
Should it be close to the same point as the jack (along that rail that runs along the length of the car)? Is this the same location I would choose if I am storing the car and want to jack the car off its wheels for a extended length of time? If not, where is the best place?
