My favorite would have to be my SVT.
Close second was my 93 Probe GT
Then we have the other fords:
87 Escort GT
81 Mustang
The Mustang was my first car. It was the Ghia model with four on the floor. Looked good but all the power windows and locks didn't work. It had t-tops that leaked every time it rained. The A/C didn't work. The car was black with vinyl seats. The combo of color and vinyl in Texas in the summer, not good. But exterior looked damn good.

I am including my parents cars because some of them I drove quite a bit an I am including the sable wagons since they are so much like the taurus.

90 Taurus wagon (parents) - Traded in
93 Taurus wagon (parents) - Traded in
95 Mystique V6 MTX (parents) - Totaled by my brother
96 Mystique I4 ATX (parents/sister) - Totaled by my brother
96 F-150 (parents)
96? sable wagon (parents) - Traded in
98.5 Contour Se (Mine) - Totaled by me.
00-02? sable wagon (parents) - Currently being driven by my brother in boston for a few more months until he finishs up with some school stuff there.
00 Contour SE Sport (Mine) - Current only car for me.

The best is the 00 SE. I hated all the taurus/sable wagons after I found out what it was like to drive a nice car like the mystique. I only had the 98.5 for a little less than a year (25K ?) but the 00 SE is going on three years for me (108K) so I have had a lot longer time to like it.

Beaten - 2003 MazdaSpeed Protege 29K <- broken hearted Daily/Weekend Beater - 1990 miata 138K - AutoX every weekend = Adult driven on weekends

I would say my favorite ford so far was my 1979 Mustang Indy Pace Car replica. It was the v-8, not the 2.3L turbo. That car was not that fast, but it was rare (around 10,000 made) and looked cool. The car turned heads wherever it went. My SVT would be my favorite, but owning it for a little over a year has been a total nightmare!

1999 CSVT- Love it Love it Love it
1996 C SE- Love it too, but less exciting than the SVT
1990 Tempo- reliable and fun to beat on
1986 Merc. Lynx wagon- reliable(even with 196,000 miles), stick , ugly as sin, and outran my friend's Cadillac Eldorado(I obviously had a head start, but he couldn't catch me doing 115. Who knows how fast I was going ).

All have been great cars. Ford deserves more credit than is given.
