15 mph for the airbags i meant.... didnt you say yours went off?

yea..both of mine went off..my car was parked
both of hers also came out..i dont know how fast she was going..just tring to find out a little info about them.

If you're under 25, you may not get a rental. Make sure about this.

yea...i have heard about being under 25 and not being able to get one, will find out tomorrow afternoon i guess.

notice pic3...look at where the tire makes began, theres a piece of plastic marking it in the road...

i measured from tire to the beginning of the tire marks where i knew i was parked...40-45 feet.

i love my contours sometime...they have done me good.
second one i have had now..other was totalled last september when i flipped it on a dirt road.

shop says car is "unrepairable" and totalled.
insurance adjustor coming from birmingham and will
finish it all up on monday-tuesday.
then ill probally have to wrestle with them about the value to get the best i can. Ford stealership told me around 5k...kelly blue book for mine was 6415...nada was 4900
hope to meet around 5500 and hope for 6k

anyone got any suggestions or ideas?
if i have any problems i will talk with an attorney.

oh and also...after fighting with them to get a rental finally, I was not able to get one due to being 20 and my insurance wouldnt transfer. So my dad got the rental and im stuck with his car..92 sable..ugh

I had the same problem when i was in school. I guy rear ended me leaving school and totalled my car. I was too young for a rental so they got my mom a rental (escort) and I got her Grand Prix. I got the better end of the deal in my situation though. Sorry about what you are going through. They gave me a very, very fair price on my car.

the other one i had my dad gave me and always had something wrong..(97)


im thinking about it...but would seriously want to look at the svt model instead of another one..

it will just depend on what i find..started looking around today and making contach with all the dealers around town to look for something in the 5-6k range. plus have the option of going to an auction with a friend.

next weeks gonna be fun...trying to get all this settled

Kinda blows how someone car smash into your PARKED car and you still have to worry even a little bit. In cases like these the person responsible should have to pay as much as neccesary to get you back into the exact same thing you had, nothing less.

When I got rear ended in my 82 Jetta, I got nothing for the car (276K, previous write off several times) despite the fact that I worked my ass of making it look and drive like a new car. I pleaded that case to SGI and they were kind enough to give me $1500 for the car insead of the $790 they were originally going to give me. That was probably still one of the saddest days I can remember because that's when I decided to call it quits on the Jetta (I still have it, just stopped trying to make it better)
