But the Futura will be based on the Mazda 6 platform. The next generation Mondeo will be based on the Mazda 6 platform, or as some have said, the Mazda 6 platform and the Mondeo will come together. In fact there will be at least 10 new products in the next few years based on the Mazda 6, including some crossover vehicles. So a Futura based SVT could really be as close to a CSVT as we may ever see again, after all the Mazda 6 is about as close as you can get right now.
