Just changed my tubrine speed sensor, on my 95 contour. Was $58 CAD
from ford dealer.. anyways, changing it on an old car is not as easy as it sounds... the thing literally bonded to the tranny lol, While trying to take it out, it obviously snapped in half. Had to drill inside of it, but the magnet is almost impossible to drill, so had to drill the small plastic casing. Anyways, 2 broken bits later, and scratched up hands, i got the phuka out. Popped in a new one, and went for a drive. The bang was gone..
horray, but I did notice that the tranny shifted a bit later than before, so engine noise was more apperant now.
Also the 4th still does not engage on the highway. I redline at 120 kph in 3rd for about 10 minutes... only then the 4th engages. Does anyone know what is going on?
