My guess is that they will make them better this time. Maybe even import them from Europe?
I doubt very much if Ford build quality has improved at all. Someone posted here about how poorly rated Foci are for quality. Expect more of the same. Getting factories to improve their quality output is not easy. I know, I deal with it everyday, although in a very different industry.
It requires a complete change of attitude and outlook of everybody on the production line and that change of heart takes a while and a lot of engineering controls and checks. Again, not easy to implement.
If they are to be imported from Europe, I would expect them to be more expensive than we expect.
I'd really like to be wrong on this one.
