its about time for me to change MY timing belt and I was just wondering...ZXtuners has a timing belt made by eslinger...would that work with the stock cams or would it only work with aftermarket cams? Any info would help. the car has about 80K on it now and the timing belt is "walking" on me and hitting something causing it to get cut up on the edge.

Do you have a link? I can't find it on their site. I don't think it would help you any more than a stock timing belt.

I'd be more inclined to determine why it's walking rather than put a different manufacturer's belt in there. Is something not in alignment? Maybe a pulley has some wobble to it?

With 80k miles, the timing belt can just wear out enough to do that. Though definitely could be a pulley. I'd go ahead and replace the belt, tensioner, and idler pulleys.

thanks guys. yeah when i did the search i pulled this original thread and saw that its a good idea to replace those pulleys. Oh also I read some more on the zxtuner site and the belt works with the eslinger cams only, because it is smaller than stock.
thanks guys

You sure you're not talking about the serpetine belt (which is not made by esslinger and is almost gauranteed to be the wrong size if ordered through zxtuner) for use with the esslinger under drive pulley? AFAIK, timing belt size shouldn't change.

Because if there is one thing I have learned when modding and maintaining a car...is to do things right the first time....don't take unecessary risks....or you may pay later for doing things half ass now.
I used a compression tester when I put on my adjustable cam gears. I checked compression before and after, and guess what, it increased.

So the compression increased? But as long as it increases across all the chambers, then it doesn't matter right? So if you do your timing belt install correctly, then you don't HAVE to check compression, right?
