wow, you shift at 3500-4000 during daily driving? that seems high to me. i "raced" my girlfriend in her tacoma last night and i was just trying to stay next to her. i never floored it or went past 4000 rpm and held right next to her and she was flooring it. funny 4 cylinders....but normally i shift around 3000 during daily driving, that way the secondaries don't get used as much. you must drive fast if you shift that late. but, yes racing, i have been told redline. i try to stay away from the red though; i mostly shift around 6000 because i forget i still have almost a whole other 1000rpm to go
