that's what I figured...last time I raced though I blew my clutch, kind of hesitant to push it again...

I'd imagine with a little computer trickery you can shift at 10,000 rpm, but you'll only be able to do it once.

well if you didn't mind replacing half of what's under the hood, that'd be pretty fun...hearing the engine get that loud, and most likely followed by a huge *bang* or *thud* as your transmission or clutch (or both) go straight to hell.

That's why I said you could only do it once

Really. I like to alowe myself to push my car to the redline once a month. Clutch has held up well so far.

yes but my car has many-a miles on it...it was over 130k with the original clutch when this happened...had to spank my friend's neon, bone stock engine, v6 2.5L, and a heavy a$$ box full of subs in the trunk...once again, he looked at my car, and when I said I could beat him..."I don't think so guy"...heh, showed hiiiiim......except for that little clutch problem... but yes, every now and then I like to throw caution to the wind and take off from an on-ramp or at a street light just to have a little fun, and hope no cops are in the vicinity...

Once a month? Should be at least once a day.
Shift just before redline.
