The balancing system was so good that one user caught a 25lb. weight tossed to him without toppling over, and he played catch with his kids.
I saw a documentary on that as well. In addition to all the balancing tricks of the Segway, the new wheelchair will be able to walk up steps! It was simply amazing. Hopefully it will be affordable to low income folks.
