Winamp will convert mp3s to .wav.

In winamp go to options, then preferences, then output (which is under plug-ins), then select nullsoft disk writer plug-in, then click configure and select an output folder. Hit ok. Now select the mp3s you want to convert by selecting from the file menu (top left or right clicking in the main window) play, then file, and open the location where your mp3s are at, you can select multiple files by hodling ctrl while clicking on the files. Once you've selected the files you want hit play and the files will be converted to .wav files to the folder you selected when you configured the output. Sorry for the long instructions, but I think that's it.

The best program I have found is NERO. It will burn cds and it automatically converts the mp3s to wavs as you burn, its very fast and works great. All you have to do is drag the mp3s into the column and write cd and your done. Download a demo here.

Hope this helps.

AUTOMATICALLY converts them to WAV files?!? MAN,I'm GETTIN' Nero! I'm SICK and tired of having to convert those things to wav files! Pain in the.....!
And my Sony changer plays my burned CD's usually flawlessly. I have a HP 9101 and use the Adaptec software, burning at 12x speeds. BUT....I recently purchased a Sony DVD/CD changer for home, and it won't play the darned things! Think it could be the recording speed?? I use Memorex platinum 80 min CD's. I think I'll try changing the speed and see. Also, when it gets very cold out,and I try to play my CD'R's in the car changer.....static city!! The things sound terrible! Most of my other CD's sound decent with maybe a little motor static...at least that's what I think it is. It's a SONY changer, about 7 or so years old. The CD R's sound terrible though until it warms up a bit. Strange......

Adaptec easy cd 4.0 will also convert mp3 --> wav for you.

Just drag your audio files (either mp3 or wav) into the playlist (or burnlist?) on the bottom half of the screen and go to it.

You can also mix and match if you have some ripped wavs and some downloaded mp3s at the same time.

I use Musicmatch. WWW.musicmatch.com It's free in basic form with an option to buy more toys. Easily the most user friendly mp3/wave file converter out there.

It isn't. But it can occasionally. Some people have better luck than others. It is pretty much luck of the draw.

I have never had a problem playing a cdr on my factory HU. Odd, though, cuz I don't use high-end discs... whatever is cheapest works for me.

I once had a guy at a Stereo Store tell me that playing CDRs is bad for the CD player, cuz the laser picks up something or other from the disc and then won't work... what a yutz... it's not a record player!
