Let me tell you it is a great car. I have driven quite a few including right hand drive Monaros. The exhaust tone is great especialy since its from the factory. It has good speed, great interior (you would never guess it was a GM product), rides good although it could benefit from some suspension upgrades. Yes it does have a six speed option. Expect to see new ground effects and a twin turbo setup to be out probaly early next year, aftermarket that is. Overall a great car.

Well the car in the pic is the Monaro and yeah I know, the GTO is "based" off of it, yeah "based" off of it  I checked one out at recent car cruize here in SE MI and get this, the car has 2 mufflers that go into 1 pipe and then has a twin chrome tip, WTF...2 into one tailpipe Stupid

Roger did you get a chance to hear that exhaust. The only real difference between the Monaro and GTO is LHD and emission crap (exhaust). You would be surpised that the exhaust note itself has not changed. Everything else is the same.Hint.. it is still built in Australia @ the same factory. Just got a few of the first in right of the boat two weeks ago

I didn't get to hear it run, but heres my point. If your going to bring back the famous GTO name after a 30 year vacation, its gotta have dual exhaust, one on each side IMO  I've also heard they've been "tweaking" the sound to get it right, so how about getting it right with dual tips, one on each side  As far as the cars looks go, well, the Monaro looks better because IMO the front end looks like the 97-03' GTP, so what makes it stand out

I don't like the styling of this car. It is too ... Pontiac! I wonder who would buy such a car? Pontiac will limit the production to 28000. IMO this is a very optimistic figure...

I agree with in two of the three Roger. I don't think it should have been called a GTO, the Monaro bumper is better, but I don't mind the single exhaust. As far as it being a Pontiac, well it realy doesn't resemble any pontiac at all (except bumper). I realy hate Pontiacs, the GTO sticks out though. Its just a good car IMO.

the engine may have some power...but its going to need it...the gto will have the typical gm overweightness to it...i can't remember the actual weight,but it is waaay too heavy...handling will also probably suffer from the porkiness...and with a price tag rumored to be around $35k,waaay too much $$ for what's being offered imo...
at least pontiac was able to control their batmobile plastic trim fetish with this car for the most part...
