Zetecs will commonly make this sound when they start just until you get oil moving in the head...Sounds like a tractor when you first start it....now if this begins to get excessive and say, makes the sound all the time....especially on an engine that has received hard use or a lot of where...or miles, it may be time to rebuild the head. Why? Your lifters are rattling, and will need to be replaced.

Other considerations:

When did you last change the oil?

What oil are you using? Who makes? Type and Viscosity?

What oil filter are you using?
