I guess it doesn't surprise me because the 170hp CSE is a bit lighter than the CSVT so power to weight ratios are pretty close (right?). It's only after 100mph where the CSVT is a bit faster than the CSE V6 (right?). Is your friend sporting big rims? Assuming he has just a standard intake and catback (no y-pipe), he should be able to get some lower 15s if he's a halfway decent driver. If he's good, he could grab some 14.8s. Tell him to shift at an indicated 6500 on the 1-2, 6300 on the 2-3, and 6000 on the 3-4.
For reference, when I had just an intake, y-pipe, and catback, I was getting 14.7@95mph which was quicker than all 5 of the NA CSVTs that showed to the track that day. DemonSVT was right on my tail though.
Speaking of DemonSVT, I hope we can get some runs in against each other since we both have more mods since we met last time (him beating me by the way).
