I just found out tonight thet a guy that comes into my work all the time owns an exhaust shop that does custom exhaust, and he said he'd cut me a great deal. I already have SVT exhaust without the rez combined with the KKM.

I'm thinking I can't pass up this opportunity, so my question is what should I have done? I was thinking that I want true-dual all the way back, combined with a custom y-pipe. But I want something that will allow me to gain some power now, and I also have turbo in my future, so I want something that will accomodate that too. What size pipe should I go? And should I just buy a SHO-shop y-pipe instead of getting a custom one? Any thoughs are appreciated.

Bro...the whole idea of running true duals is to eliminate the Y-pipe...therefore you won't need a Y...

But if you plan on going turbo...your true duals will go up for sale...as you'll have no need for them..since a single pipe feeds/exits the turbo...

Now if you go SC...you can greatly benefit from the true duals and keep them...

Nahhh...not my intention. Just hate to see someone make a bad decision now..then have to loose money or redo your set-up with your next mod.

if u have some $$$ and he is willing to work with u than i would definitly have him try out some different ideas....i would go with a magnaflow setup....i just put the resonator on and it sounds unbelievable....it is def. better than the straight pipe...no rasp, hardly any drone and it is a low deep growl....def. worth the money....good luck...

I dislike the use of crush style bends that cause a major restriction in the exhaust tract leading from the exhaust manifolds to the rear exhaust tips at the back of the vehicle. These restrictions when multiplied by the number of bends required in the exhaust system and the number of pipes used to channel these engine expulsions will cumulatively reduce the amount of stored energy in the exhaust gas pulses thus causing them to constantly change speed and therefore lose tremendous amounts of net velocity and dramatically hinder their savaging effect. This in turn causes the engine to produce less usable power to make the vehicle accelerate at a much more substantial rate then would otherwise be possible if these said "crush" bends are not employed in the construction of the exhaust system in question.

'nuff said???

I have to agree with Demon here(wow thats new lol). Crush bends deprive an exhaust of nearly half the power it could have(But don't tell that to Cardoc on fordcontour.org, he'll cry and kick you off lol). Mandrel is the only way to go.

But with crush bends you can tell people you bent the piping with your own bare hands.
