The Chilton's manual says the water pump uses torque-to-yield bolts and that new ones are required for installation. Is this true because the guy at NAPA seemed to think that was incorrect. I ordered my pump from NAPA, but I want to make sure I have those bolts if I need them (unless the pump comes with them???)

I have a Haynes manual and it does not say anything about torque to yield bolts. I recently put on a waterpump and used the same bolts without any ill effects, so far anyway.

Here's what you need.....

Here's the POS you'll pull out of there....

Tips: 1) Make sure to clean off ALL of the old gasket, so you don't put it all back on and have leaks. 2) I was able to do it without unbolting the thermostat housing, I just worked around the hoses that are in that vicinity. I have a couple more pics from my remvoal and installation if anyone wants them.
