I cannot have anything in my trunk as I am always using it.
I bought a JL audio 8" inch sub. I went with them because they make great subs for small enclosures. Very small sealed box <0.5 cubic in size.
I plan to custom build the enclosure to be fitting in the roof of the trunk. So when I am standing and looking into the trunk I won't be able to see the box until I bend over and look up into the trunk.
I noticed that there is a stock cut outout for a woofer in the trunk. Any comments on that? I heard that ford planned to have a speaker mounted there but canned it. Has any body made use of the stock cut out?
The box will be mounted about an inch from the roof of the trunk. Should I have the speaker firing up against the sealing of the trunk? I was thinking of placing the woofer over the area (but not mounted) of where the factory mounted sub was suppost to be.
All advice on compact stealth subs apreciated. Also any issues on vibrations.
I am looking for qualty bass, not boom.
