Ya'll going to NOPI and staying in ATL, any specific hotel ya'll would want to take over as the CEG hotel? I've got a few little things planned before I get up there, prepare to be impressed (hopefully).

Yeah but it's pretty darn close.

Soon we will be needing to revive all the threads. I will need to start ralleying all the troops. Be ready! We will be gathering info on who, what, when, where. What car, showing or not....yada yada. This way we can have a way to call you and find your happy butt at Nopi. Once there on Saturday, we will form up in some massive mob and go check out the scene. Kremit wants to do some line of cars that travel around ATL...yeah...ok, that city that they put the speedway in. We will TRY to do that, it may mean we have to move cars and what not...for those of you that have not been to NOPI Nats, it is huge! It is NOT, big. It is NOT, large. It is NOT a few cars getting together to have a good time...IT IS MASSIVE. Plan on spending lots of time IN THE LINE to get into the park. Tix are pricy too, but once you are in, you will understand why.

To those that I had the privallege to hang with last year, and those that went that I did not meet, please post your experiences here.

Do I hear anything from my Foci Bros??? You coming?? We will try to make a caravan of cars to hit NOPI. This will start in Huntsville.

Eric, you and the boys going? If so, you wish to meet at the house around 6am to go to ATL?

I may again try to see if I can get a large group from here to go and this will be comprised of several differing styles of car.

Say cheese - Remember to pack LOTS of film, memory cards, batteries, etc..

As the time wears down, the NOPI threads will become more active and I will begin making the lists to distribute via email and will get a care pack started of "things to bring to NOPI"

When is it again?

I admit I'm new to car shows & organized racing. My last time on a track was "Race Your Neighbor" night at a dirt oval in Maine.

My question:

WTF is a NOPI & what does it do?

Seriously, what goes on at NOPI meets?
Any racing?

At all other NOPI meets other than Nationals (near ATL) there is racing. At Nationals (I'd say is probably biggest car show on east coast if not in the USA/world) it's just a huge car show, with jump off contests for cars with hydraulics, bikini contests, sound contests, and bunch of other stuff. You get to see just about any kind of car you'd ever wanna see. Visit www.nopi.com for some more info.

I'm thinking about going this year. Not sure if I'll need a hotel. Might do what I did last year. leave about 5AM and get there about 10 then leave whenever that night. I'll just be going on Saturday. Not showing or anything, just to see the sights and all.

If you do need a room, let me know, I think it's just me and one friend going so we could split cost on a room 3 ways. We'll be leaving here bout 5am as well. I'd love to see your car again.
