what was the cost of these replacements
AAMCO estimated $750 to replace the four mounts.
I have learned that a lot of the suspension and drive train components have to be taken apart and then replaced when performing this job. I have read that sometimes after the mounts have been replaced shops like AAMCO have problems realigning the drive train and suspension components that they took apart which can cause the CV joint and bearings to wear more quickly. So when I do have all of the mounts replaced I am leaning towards having Ford do this work figuring that they would know how to properly align the components that must be dismantled during the mounts replacements.
