The upper mount, which you can see easily see under the stock air intake and easier without, has a rubber bushing inside the mount. It only covers the underside of the mount.
Then there are two roll resisters located under the tranny that connects the tranny to the subframe. If either or both of these resistors are worn, it will allow the tranny to sit lower then normal since the upper mount is dependent on the lower resisters for support.
I rebuilt my lower resistors with Dow HV400 Polyurathane and they are hard as a rock! Since my warrenty on transmission repairs is covered for another 10K, which included new trans mounts, I cannot install them until the warrenty is over.
I have since found that this was a good thing!
