anyway, just thought i'd share...

Go beater winter cars! I finally got to drive the SVT today after 2 weeks of staring at it in the garage. I miss that stereo so much I had to sit in the car for an extra 5 minutes once I got to work. I have got to do something with the winter car's stereo.

You callin my Omni a beater!? ;-)

The thing is a beauty! 455.00 of pure MOPAR muscle...er...that's an oxymoron isn't it? I do have a brand new 2.2 with a .490 lift cam and 280 duration. should be good for 125 hp once i port the heads. Cam 98.00, porting free with lots of work. I wish we could boost our contours for that kind of money. oh well...

I have a friend who used to race GLH's. He had the only year w/o a turbo, but added one. Last time I saw it run was 14.6 in the quarter. He kept it for 2 more years, but I never heard if he improved his times. Now he autocrosses, with a Neon ACR.

The GLHS (the last version of the turbo 174 hp) could run the 1/4 in under 14 seconds. those were impressive little cars. i'd like one just to play around with. :-)

i figure with 125-130 hp, and a 5 speed i should be able to pretty well in the quarter mile. maybe 16 seconds? i don't know though, i'd have to do a little research.

BTW the CSVT is my winter beater :P he he, but for the longest time i wanted to buy the 91-92 spirit R/T with the 2.2l turbo engine, that thing was fast, especially if u upped the boost, which took about $20 in parts and yielded almost 300hp. too bad that the heads almost always cracked even with regular use......

i now return to the regularly scheduled programming...
