Yes,
but you have to bypass/disable the clutch switch.

Yes it is. I previously had at JTI J4 starter but I switched to a Clifford Solaris. It works great.

It is possible. Bypass the clutch switch. Here is the how to that is included on this Forum.

The way it works is the clutch switch provides a ground for the starter relay, located in the engine fuze box. What I did was find this wire and splice in another wire that I connected to a ground. First find the C-100 connector, Its the huge one just aft of the air box, before the strut mount. It is held together by a captive bolt at the engine end. Unscrew this bolt and the connector comes apart. Its actually two connectors in series but the engine side is the one you want. Find the Black wire with a yellow tracer in socket number 31 on the connector. Its a small wire and this is the one you want. I removed the end cap for access, spliced in another small wire, soldered it and insulated it. I routed the other end to the vicinity of the cruise control mount, installed an appropriate lug and tied it down. Reassemble/mate the connector and secure via the bolt. Its either a 10 or 8mm hex. If you prefer you can work on the other side of the C-100 connector BUT the wire changes to a black/green wire exiting socket 31.

Just follow this procedure, install the remote starter and you should be good to go.

Easier way;
Look towards the top of the clutch pedal on the firewall side,
There is a connector with two wires coming out of it.
Either;
1) Disconnect connector from pedal and jumper the two sides of the connector together by inserting a piece of wire or paper clip then tape it up.
2) Cut the two wires and solder them together or use some other electrical connector.
Quick & Easy!

If you want to do it the right way, get one specifically
made for manual cars. The one I've read about (sorry, forgot
type/brand) continues to idle the car as you pull the key
and exit the car and stops it after several seconds, so you
cannot forget it in gear.

very possible i have the viper v790 2way remote start on my 5spd... DEI makes a clutch safety switch you can purchase ... so if you leave it in gear it won't take off, i NEVER leave my car in gear so i don't really worry about that.. but also look into Compustar, they make an alarm for mtx cars
