Rob, I would suggest that you find a new place for your tranny work. Perhaps someone more acquainted with the CD4E and the reason for the shift kit. Also to suggest that dropping the tranny is easer then removing the T-Stat indicates that he doesnâ??t do a lot of tours. Dropping the tranny requires lowering of the U-Frame, Disco of the PS lines at the rack and a wheel alignment when finished. Lots of potential for things to go wrong. Granted, that leaving the tranny in makes it slower to remove all the side cover and VB bolts, but its got to be better the wrestling with the U-Frame.
I have the SK-CD4E jr instructions all zipped up 3.28 Mb.
Pete, my limit on the site is 3Mb. Do you want me to e-mail them to you or can you kick my storage up to 4 Mb?
jeff

Have you read through the thread ? Have you looked at the instructions ?
There is more than enough information in this forum to answer this question.

One question on this kit that I have. The alumumium rivet that is included, A normal rivet gun won't handle this kind of rivet? Am I correct on this, How do I insert and fasten this rivet?
P.S. Never used a rivet gun before....
Thanks, Bob

You DO NOT need to remove the AC hardware, coolant lines or related hardware-I just did mine-and the only thing I took out was teh battery tray (5) bolts. I didn't even pop off the range selector. I fugure I spent an extra 5 minutes working around teh coolant lines and AC stuff-but-I didn't feel like taking it all off-and the cover and VB will make it out fine. That servo lag bolt trick was good-I will use that-good thinking. I have been taking some pictures and will put up a nice write up when I am done. You probably wouldn't even need to take the battery tray off-but the 5 minutes it takes saved some knuckle skin...
Anyone have the tech info on wear values for the components-what is acceptable?
I am installing the JR kit currently...
