I wouldn't say it is a big project. It probably takes 3+ hours alone just to get the valve body out and back in. Once it is out, it probably takes 2 hours to do the cleaning and modifications.
Fastcougar had mentioned that the reason he had not installed his was because he didn't have a "special reamer bit" for one of the mods. The reamer actually puts a angle bore in one of the valve body ports, then you are to insert a special rivet that is included in the kit. This restricts line pressure at a perticular point in the valve body (sorry guys I have no idea where) and allows for a slightly higher, more stable line pressure across all driving conditions.
This step alone is the only reason I did not purchuse the TransGo Kit and Sonnax By-Pass valve myself and do it. Plus, I want the Kevlar composite clutches in there also.
I am not sure if you can purchuse this bit by itself, but I am sure that you can. A little digging in many of the catalogs I have posted over the past several months might help with this. It would be a good idea though to have access to a drill press though, I would think. That way you could make the bore perfectly straight.
Mercman... If you do have the instructions to the CD4Ejr kit and could scan them, that would be GGRRRREAAAAT!!!! If not, let us know and I will be happy to get with the shop that did my repair and get a copy from them.
