Well seeing that we're only 2 weeks away from the 9th annual Woodward Dream Cruise, I'd like to know who all is going to it. Last year our usual spot was taken, but I ended up going a couple feet up and we landed in the parking lot of the Mecedes-Benz dealership. I got there at my usual time, about 5:00 a.m. and we were lucky. This year we can either chance that spot again or we can park at the McDonalds just S of 9 mile on the W side of the street. Either there or the Dunkin donuts parking lot right next to it. One of my customers brother-in-law owns the McDonalds and has the lot for the Dunkin donuts. So the thing I need to know, before I say yes or no to either spot is this, who is going to the WDC and who is going to the National meet I actually wanted to go to the car show of the National meet, turn around and come home that day, hit the sack and then head out to the WDC, but I need someone to go with me to Chicago and they'd have to be willing to come back the same day, a tall order I know, so this is why I'm trying to get something set up for those who are staying in their backyard Please let me know, so I can get the ball rollin, thanks

Hey Roger, I wanted to do the same thing. Go to the car show, and head back the same day to make the cruise the next day. So I'm down with that.

Well it appears that several of you want to drive to Chicago, turn around and come home and then hit the WDC the next day, do you know what this means First of all, since its a regular work day, we have to deal with Chicago traffic and I hear its nuts! So we need to leave the metro Detroit area by about 4-5:00 a.m., then make the 5 hour drive and get there by 10:00 a.m. our time, or 9:00 a.m. their time. This is very early and not for the faint of heart, thats for sure Getting there early lets us take our time and enjoy things, seeing that were coming home the same day, we want to enjoy our time there, so time is very inmportant. We need to head home by 5:00 p.m. so we can get to bed by 10:00 p.m. Then I need to be out at our spot by 5:00 a.m. the next day and let me tell you, after 600+ miles of driving the previous day, even in our car, that takes alot out of you, period. I'm willing to do it but we gotta have a nice group making the trip out and they MUST be on time for heading out there. The early leave time is very important so we can enjoy ourselves in Chicago Now I ask you my fellow SE MI CEG enthusists, who is down for the trip now

Would anybody here happen to know anyone who works at that Benz dealership just S of Quarten. It would be nice to secure that lot before it goes the way of some diehard who spends the night there, do I have to do that to secure it
