I had a professional printin place print them out. As you can't just print them out. I tried that in prototype stages and they didn't look good at all. and no you can't just stick them over your old gaues, unless you want them to glow green and red.

I'm sure they are not using an Ink jet printer. Prob some sort of ALPS printer or something like it that can print whites and not bleach out from the sun.

ok, thanks for the info. well does anyone have like a template or whaterver for a 98 SE? (no tach)... So that i could just design them how i want or whatnot and get them printed out in some very good quality? Also, ive taken off the plastic liner thing that goes around the gauge panel, but how do i take off the glass?

ok after i went back and did some reading, i figure i gotta take out the 5 screws holding the whole guage thing in. well i decided to wait until tomorrow when there is daylight out and try again. now i am interested in doing the hvac back as well. now that would be a good one to put a picture of a naked girl on there! haha. if anyone has done this, how do you get the surrounding off? i was looking, and it looks like i have to take my stereo out and the thing around the stereo like the bracket i think..

im confused

Hey, I got a template for the guages when I scanned them. I have the actuall scanned images, I just stripped 'em down and edited them in photoshop. Here are the guages. I also have an idea that I am going to try so that the guages will look good with the backlight when the headlights are on: I am going to go to a print shop and print out the guages on transparent paper, with the numbers and everything that I want visible with the backlight in white. I will have several layers of this put together and hopefully it will work.

wow your the man!! so, well what i am wondering now is this: even if i just printed those right there out, i wonder if it would fit... because when i look at them on the computer the gas guage takes up my whole screen almost...

and what is EL foil? Could i just print this out with the design i want on "el foil"??? anyone have any experiance with this?

The thing is.. well.. dam.. I can't go into this one without doing some homework first. Long Story Short, when you print the picture it will be the right size.
