Unfortunately I live 20 feet off a major access road so I have to hear that crap all day long. If the system isn't blasting you hear the loud muffler even though the car isn't going anywhere, kinda like a girl stuffing her bra. All bark no bite. Do you want everybody to watch how slow your car is? I just needed to vent. You can all flame me to death now.



I feel like you have a grudge against a single type of car cliche. Such as the import/ricer scheme. Of course, these are the most common to have the "loud" exhausts, "booming" systems and so forth. But may I remind you that these are not the only types of cars that can be "annoying" or just plain loud. If your concern is merely about loss of sleep due to loud noise caused by an automobile, then you should be fair and include most V8 Domestics and motorcycles. (especially Harley's) You seem to be "attacking" the import/ricer scene and want to include Contours (as you may have seen them "riced" out) and not be general in your rant about loud exhausts, cars lowered too much and so on. Even Domestic V8 muscle cars are lowered severely to improve performance. Plus, any idiot can screw up any car by lowering it too much or making the sound system or exhaust excessively loud. Just because the majority of the "problem" lies in imports and younger drivers does not make it fair to only "rant" and point the finger at them. Lets just be fair. I understand your concern, but just like having a job, you have to work with people you don't like and also put with a certain amount of annoyance and stress. That is just how the world is today. If you can't adapt, then you'll spend your life angry at everyone and everything.

That is the same as someone making a V6 Camaro into a Z28 look alike or V6 Mustang into a GT or Cobra. It looks the same, but nothing to back it up. This "problem" lies in more than one car scene.

Like I mentioned earlier, the ones that are that low are either adjustable, and only that way temporarily, or an idiot got ahold of the car and just ruined it. It can happen to more than one type of car.

Not every loud exhaust comes from the "coffee can" type of muffler. Why is everyone with this type of car a "wanna be thug?" That isn't fair. Some just don't know any better and have no taste in what looks nice. Most are just "following the leader" to these Fast & Furious types of movies. They obviously don't have the $$$ to mod the car correctly, so they are impatient and do anything they can to make it as close as possible to what they see in movies. Hell, in their heads, their car can look like the ones in the movies themselves. I understand your concern about the disregard for others privacy and peace of mind with the loud music. I am sure you are referring to the bass carrying for blocks into your home. As mentioned before, sometimes you just have to take it. You can't arrest, turn in, or cuss out every person with loud bass, so you would be fighting a winless battle.

Not trying to be a smartass, but I am simply telling you that classifying everyone in one type of "scheme" that you dislike isn't that fair. I can't stand some of the "ricer" types either, but I have learned to just let them be and they'll eventually be emabarrassed enough to stop or it will grow old.
