ATX duratec tour runs upper 16's low 17's an MTX ZX2 runs mid 16's not as close as you think.
i ran a 16.45 with a chip and intake, and 17" wheels.
that was my first time at the track, this thursday (if it dont rain like the past 2 weeks) im gonna run it again and expect to see low 16s, possible high 15s
although i just got a S-AFC II (still dont know how to use it, but got it hooked up and working) and my svt lim and uim are on the way....
Right and not stock though. Chips will help the ATX with firming up the shif points. Intake helps breathing so my guess is you would have seen high 16's to low 17's bone stock. Nice times though 16.5 is nothing to sneeze at for any family 4 door in my opinion.

Zx2 = 2450 lbs/125 HP = about 19 lbs/HP Contour SE = 3000 lbs/170 HP = about 18 lbs/HP Contour SVT = 3060 lbs 200 = about 15.5 lbs/HP
No calcualtor...rough numbers
BUT the ZX2 is not far off a regular V6 Tour. Clocked low 16 sec IIRC vs about 15.9-16 sec for V6 Tour. Drivers race with edge going to Tour. SVT should win easily but modded ZX2 could be a contender with another 25 HP.

I've driven a MTX ZX2 and a MTX Zetec tour. The ZX2 seemed very anemic compared to the Tour. And my car is definately faster (MTX V6 SE). Of course this ZX2 I drove could have been sitting on the dealer's lot for a while and not been running right.

that's all fine and dandy but I have a video of me racing an ATX duratec with intake, exaust, SVT TB, and a superchip that got a 16.9 with me with my intake exaust and a UDP and a really bad start running a 17.0
so and ATX duratec to a MTX Zetec with similar mods his best that day at the track was the 16.9 mine was a 16.8... basicly equal in terms of performance. if you would like to see the video I can post it somewhere for you to download.

That would be the zx2 S/R or one with a jackson racing supercharger.
IIRC the S/R only has an Iceman intake and and upgraded exhaust?!?!
back to the thread I was once challenged by a ZX2 when the only mod I had was a KKM. He definitely pulled on me and it was a guy that I really hated too so it really pissed me off.
...thing is...he'd probably still beat me

The S/r was good for 150 or 155 hp I can't remember for sure which it was. It also had an upgraded suspension and was toted by some car magazine to be well worth the buy in price. Thing I hated about my/the ZX2 was the interior. Especially the freakin HVAC/Radio.

a time slip doesn't mean sh!t... stock I went to a differnt track and ran a 16.4 but at a differnt track the same week my best was a 17.4... so what I am getting at is to say I ran a xx.xx at track XYZ and you ran a yy.yy at track ABC doesn't mean much.
