it went out today on the drive home. thermometer (reads heat index) on the rear view mirror said 114 degrees. and i ham driving down I-820 with no a/c icky. first the car started idling rough, then it started to rev itself, then it died a couple of times, the last time i restarted it, i heard a snap. i pulled over and looked under the hood, the comperssor seized and the belt snapped. any rough estimates on how much this will cost? i have never had to replace one.
