Just did it this afternoon. Might be wrong, but after getting one end of the spring seated and the then the other tip in the hole I pried the remaining bit behind the caliper bracket with a pair of needle nose pliers. Much easier to put the tips in the whole and then pry on the unseated spring-end rather than fussing with the tips trying to put them in their wee little resting place.
