I have a medium sized screwdrived with a V notch cut into the tip that I use to remove and replace those otherwise difficult clips. It is real easy with such a tool. The screwdriver is used to pry the clip out of the caliper. The V notch on the screwdriver is used to hold the clip steady while prying.
