I just came across a set of navy blue leather front seats and rear seats for 300 bucks and they are in perfect condition. in my 99 contour lx i have ugly cloth seats with some weird pattern. is it possible to put these leather ones in? they are out of a 1998 contour svt they look the exact same but leather but i wanted to make sure before i bought them. thanks

The back seat isnt hard to talk out. I would tell you how to do it, but its been too long and I forgot some of the steps, like what size torx you need for the seat back

Try a search on removing the rear seat, many people have done it to run stereo wires, etc.

hardest part is the door-side seatbelt anchor. It's mounted to the seat with a thread-cutting torx bolt, and there's no room for a bit. I used visegrips to get mine out. Test out the SVT seats real well, I found them to be too "bouncy".

On my car (no fold down). Just pull the cushion up and then it may have some bolts (can't remember), once you pull it up (maybe forward a little) you'll be able to tell. Remove any bolts you find holding the back rest in and then (what I did) stand where the cusion was and pull toward you some and lift up the back rest so it unhooks from the car. It's sorta takes a while to figure out, but just look at it, you'll get it.

Ah, so that's what a visegrip is. I had always heard someone say, "I've got your balls in a visegrip," but I never knew what that meant until today. I assumed it was just a really tight fist grip.

It gives that comment a whole new meaning to me...

Thanks ibub
Tim
