I'm just sick of dumping $$$ into cars this year. I've spent over $1500 in just maintenance & repairs. I could have a new BAT suspension or a quaife instaled for that $$$!
You're sick of dumping money into cars? My MAF (actually, VAF, but whatever) went last week too. Millbury Ford charged me $85 to tell me "the MAF was out of range," and was going to charge me $850 for the MAF (!!!) and another $150 labor. Total =~ $1000. Several PT'ers told me it is easily replaceable and another NE-CEGer is actually seeing if he can get me one cheap. When I am making only $7.25/hr, and forced to take a hiatus after Aug. 23 on top of it (work won't let me do less than 16 hrs/week during school), cheap is necessary. I have no vehicle till this is fixed.
There are brakes sitting in the garage too waiting installation. Right now, I can't go and can't stop, so the only thing the car is good at is idling!
$850 ... if only I owned a Contour ...
