In speaking with Torco they state MTF & RTF meet or exceed the GL4,5,6 specification for load & pressure but are not corrosive. Synthetic manual transmission "fluid" is not gear oil, it only emulates the requirements for that application. MTF/RTF are highly recommended for manual transmission/transaxles that use ATF as standard fill. The guy I spoke with agrees that synthetic gear oil products (theirs and other brands) are generaly a better choice over ATF or synthetic ATF in most modern transaxles like the MTX75.
