Just an update to this thread that I started. Several months later, harsh summer, harsh winter, and the paints still looks the exact same. I never use chemical cleaners or protectors on it. Maybe a soft cloth moistened with windex and that's about it. Hope it stays this way!

I painted mine too. The quality came out good but I'm a little disapointed in the color. Came out a little brighter than I expected. My car

I used some wal-mart paint and I knew it didn't match body color perfect but didn't care. My wife says that my car is purple and I didn't want it looking too Barny-like nor too candy-apple like. The color I used looks pretty close to body color but is very nice for interior.
My biggest compliment came from my older brother who is a complete, absolute perfectionist. He didn't realize that I painted the interior but commented on how nice and cool it looked inside one day. He could not believe that I spray painted it himself. He's the type of skilled guy who builds airplanes from scratch and does every thing perfect so I was happy to hear it from him.

Paint still looks shiny and brand new. Clearcoat is great. No signs of wear or anything.

Originally posted by techme: The door grab handles where the easiest. Get a very thin, flat screwdriver(not quiet as skinny, brittle and sharp as a jewlers). The two hard things are trying not to leave a 'bur' on the grab handle (I did and had to trim with a sharp knife) and finding the right location to insert and pry to get the most efficient pull out.
there is an easier way if you don't have a thin flat screw driver, if you have a small phillips of flat screw driver, there is a whole under neither the handle, push the screw driver up there, and push towards the door, then the piece should pop out a bit, then pull it out.

I went to a local paint store and spent $70ish to get the exac t match and clear coat for my oval grill. I figured that outside work would look real doofy if it didn't match. I got 2 spray cans and one liquid can out of the deal.
