My dealer managed to swindle Sony for me. They took my CDX-c8850 and said it was defective. So Sony has to replace my unit with an equal deck or better. Well, They no longer make my deck anymore so I got the next best one. Which happens to be the top of the line Sony. Yes, Thats right boys and girls. I got a new Sony Mobile ES CDX-C90! This deck rocks. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Darn the luck huh? That's the HU I was considering getting when I got my 'tour. Let everyone know how you like it. I guess I don't have the most expensive CD player in this forum anymore...damn. Congrats on the Sony though, that's awesome. ------------------ Brad W. 1998 Silver Frost SE brantleyiii@earthlink.net photos.yahoo.com/brantleyiii ------------------ "Good leaders are scarce, so I'm following myself."

I've been having some problems with my CDC-C910 for the last month or so....maybe I'll try that! BTW, I think this is the best deck made, regardless of price.

Does the CDX 90 have adequate power without additional amp/s? And did you upgrade your speakers and if so, to what? Also, does it have an EQ? You have fron tweeters?
Thanks mucho for responses. Looking to upgrade to a decent, tight, solid, audiophile quality system installed professionally for around 1.2 to 1.5K.

The deck alone costs 1.2K. And comes with absolutely no power. You have to use amps. But, This is the perfect deck for a decent, tight, solid, audiophile quality system. You might want to try Eclipse. They have very high quality decks for reasonable prices. Yes, I did upgrade my speakers. I have the Focal Polykevar 165K2 component set for my fronts($570.00) and Infinity Kappa 6 1/2 coax in the rear doors($200.00 I believe).
