yo whatup everyone, this is my first post on this site. i got a 98 SE contour sport like 2-3 months back. so far its been in the shop more than in my garage. its my first car and so far im not very happy with it.

so far these have been my problems: 5 safety recalls that shouldve been fixed when it was traded in, gas filler neck was crooked, had to cut gas tank in half and reweld it, THREEEEEEEE completely differe cadilidac converters in the car clogged and changed.(i dont mean one got clogged, then replaced and clogged again, i mean tehre are 3 cadilidac converters in this car, must be a common problem that tehy get clogged), my torque converter was completely shot, so i needed a new transmission. somehting about a intake over-ride??? whatever that is it wasnt any good. my brake rotors had to be replaced, they sed they did but all they did was ground em cuz htey were warped. i needed a new steering column cuz the ignition would stick in when i took the key out. my ac didnt work. i had a leak in my engine coolant, causing the car to overheat excessively, i need new trunk pistons cuz the. and thats all of them.

if anybody has any questions on why there cel is on, i can probly help considering my car basically has brand new parts. we evened tried filing this tash heap as a lemon. if your engine bucks, and u get rev to 5 1/2 grand from accelerating, chances are your torque converter is blown. if u breaks suck from taking a exit on a highway, if they like pulsate, get ur rotors fixed, chances are they are warped. i hope my list of problems will help u dudes with cel's on.

and by the way, all those problems up there, they were repaired for free, my family ownz ppl who try to screw em over, haha

OK, I gotta ask... did you even test drive this car before you bought it? At least a couple of the problems you described should have been immediately evident on a quick rip around the block. It sounds like you bought someone else's problems.

Enough negativity... good luck getting the car fixed, and when running right, these cars can be great. Stick around, and you'll learn more than you ever thought possible about your car.
