Actually depending on when the picture was taken, the wheels were either Team Dynamics Monzas or ST200's. The Monza's did not last (thank-you Michigan roads), so I went after the ST200s in hopes they are stronger. I like the BTCC look very much so I wanted to keep to the same look the Monza's provided. So far so good.

Hopefully you liked the picture...

Glad to hear you are going back this year. Any new modifications? I am installing a Wilwood front brake kit this weekend
I have also flushed out my power steering system and added synthetic p/s fluid to try to help with the over-flowing (or boiling) problem I had last year. I have a post in the trouble section of the forums about it.
See ya there!

Nothing big. Just added some Nology wires. Limited funds.

Saw your other post on the PS. I too have had it. I got a new cap and that solved the problem with the spill.
FYI. I have been running with all synthetic fluids (Valovine PS), Tranny (Redline), brake fluid (ATE Type 200)and of course oil (Mobil1) to help with the heat management. So far so good.

I do notice some spray on the underside of my hood and leak evidence from what I was told the PS pump. I noticed last year that yours had it too when I went to talk to your Dad. It only seems to "leak" when I do these kinds of events. I'm guessing it is the heat or high revs that are breaking down the seal but normal driving is OK.

What group are you running this year?

Wow you came out from michigan!? I'll have to scan the pic...i have it on my wall at work. As far as the leaking power steering pump goes, you're probably boiling the fluid.

Is there anything that can be done to avoid boiling the PS fluid?

The track is really nice to drive. I started going to it before I moved to Michigan and just continued. I even hooked in a friend from work and now he is more hooked on doing these track things than myself. Yhe drive isn't bad going but coming home gets ugly around midnite and knowing there is another 1+hours left before I'm in bed. On our way there last year we ran into a F+F club crossing over at the Lewiston bridge. We exchanged looks and they turned off at a different exit.

I would really like to see the picture. Post it if you can.
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I am still in run Group 2.

I took some pictures of the Wilwood set-up as I was installing it and I plan on starting a new post with them. I haven't had time to give them a good test, but they look great and went together good too.

Two weeks and counting

I will post the pic asap...as far as boiling PS fluid...I don't know if they sell fluids with higher boiling points like brake fluid...FWIW i've seen it happen before with no ill effects, except for the mess.

Hey one last comment. If anyone wants to come down to just check out the event and watch, I just need your name so I can put it on a guest list. You can come right into the pits and check out all the other cars too. Most of the time there are some really great Ford products (Mustangs, Cobras, Shelbys ) there as well as some Vipers.
It starts early morning on August 18th and 19th and usually ends around 3:00pm. I will warn you that if you come to watch you will be signing up to run next year

Marty

You can send me a private message with your name if you think you might come down. I can give directions if needed too.
