yeah, really.... if it is the cd player that is the problem, you will be better off with a new cd player.
you can go to walmart and get a cheap pioneer (or sony) cd player, wiring kit, removal tools, and 6x8 pioneer 3way's for just a little over $200. if you know someone with a little skill in car stereos, it'll be a piece of cake.
