I think after 4 years of hard drinking (I had to do something while I was in college ) I hsould know the best remedies for a hang-over.

The advice mentioned earlier about drinking a lot of water just before you pass out is very good advice. This rehydrates your body after all the alcohol wears off.

It is also good to eat something very greasy either during the night before you pass out (my drinking buddies and I always found a sober driver to take us to Taco Bell, and if not we'd walk through). If you can't eat the night of, then make sure you eat an extra-greasy breakfast at Denny's or such. I'm talkin' bacon, eggs, sausage, buscuits and gravy, etc. DO NOT DRINK ANY CITRUS, LIKE ORANGE JUICE, or anything with caffiene in it. This will only upset your stomach more.

A recent discovery to the recovering college alcoholics can be found in the pediatric isle of your grocery store. It's Called PediaLyte, and is for sick infants to rehydrate them. I've never used this tactic, but it makes perfect sense.

ibuprofen helps if you take it the night before. . . i always do, and no hangovers. just dont take tylenol or other pain killers with the same active ingrediant (not sure exactly what it is, im sure someone can tell you). it can do very bad things to you when mixed with alcohol. just stick to motrin or other ibuprofen products. also i dont think greasy things the next morning will make you feel any better, probably will make you more sick. . . stick to bread, pancakes, and the like.

It always helped me. Dennys or some fried burritos from Alsups worked wonders.

not saying it wont help, but personally i would steer clear. greasy food (though i like them) give me enough trouble sober, let alone sick from the night before. different things work for different people. if you dont know what works for you, you might was well try anything. . . hangovers suck!

Can I see your ID please...

The water is a very good idea (while drinking/before bed). I've heard medical advice that you shouldn't drink alot of water (or anything) if you are throwing up due do dehydration. It supposedly increases it by promoting the vomiting...small amounts at a time are OK. I like to take 3 Advil w/ a glass of water in the morning(if I'm not sick) at least 1 hour before I plan to get up & go back to bed & lay still til I fall back to sleep (in the dark). This usually gets rid of the raging headache...I can normally figure out if I'm gonna be sick before I go to bed & then do that purge thingy first. Binge & purge, binge & purge...

Haha.... Okay, people really shouldn't let my use the computer when I'm drunk.

And I guess I'm a lightweight because I puked 3 times this morning. Well, I did have 14 beers last night and some vodka, and the fact that I didn't pass out or puke then means I'm probably not much of a lightweight, but nonetheless, I feel like poo.

I'd say if she's still puking the day afterwards and she feels really hot than she probably has a mild allergy to alcohol.

More liqour! Drink the hangover away....

Seriously though, I usually keep a liter of water in the car so after a heavy night of drinking I'll down that whole bottle of water before I even start the car. Then I'll try and get something to eat on the way home, usually waffle house, more water. Then even more water when I get home and two tylenol before I go to sleep. Good as new in the morning.
