Looks great! Very organic and def much better than any cheap wood. The question: what's the source for the silver dash? Any Web links?

the wood wasnt cheap but am glad i dont have it any more! thanks for the responses guys. the silver dash bits could be bought from ford UK as they were fitted to mk2 Zetec, Zetec S and ST24 models but not many have the lower dash bits in silver. i was lucky to swap my upper wood dash panel with somebodies silver item (he preferred wood), and he also swapped me the handbrake and gearknob for my wood ones. i sprayed the lower dash panels and door handles myself using ford nimbus grey metallic and no lacquer. these are easy to spray as nothing needs masking off. the upper section would be really difficult to spray as loads needs masking. i sprayed my original black panels and am selling the other wood bits i have left over. you can buy the silver or wood handbrake and gearknob from the accessories bit on www.ford.co.uk

Looks good! It would be interesting to drive a stick with my left hand. IMO the next thing to replace is the seats. I never understood why manufacturers put that tacky upholstry with the designs in cars. Why can't they leave the upholstry plain? Had to ghey it up a bit. Not to pic on your car man, I just happened to notice.

i've been considering putting leather seats and door panels in but TBH the interior looks pretty OK when you see the whole lot. the trouble is i want a dvd/playstation/tv etc in the car and the engine tuned, uprated brakes, tints, and a respray of my other car etc etc before i will do anything to the interior of it!
i agree, why didnt they leave the upholstery plain grey. i may have the opportunity of a nice plain dark grey full cloth interior for very cheap, but to go to all that work i would rather spend the money and get leather.

they are UK lockwood dials for the mondeo, and its a TD engine. only the rev counter is slightly inaccurate but i had to ditch the black dials as they were boring me to death!

the door handle opening bits are chrome, and the big handle inserts for pulling the door shut are sprayed plastic
