I'm researching replacement tires for summer commuting and occasional autoX and track days. I've only heard good things about the Falken Azenis Sports and Goodyear Eagle F1-GS-D3's. But I would greatly appreciate any help if someone has knowledge or experience about both of these tires to help me decide. I'm staying with 205/55/16's on stock wheels.
The Falkens are less expensive, sound stickier, wear faster, and have some complaints about high noise. The Eagles appear to be geared more towards high power cars and straight line traction, but have better treadlife and fewer complaints about noise.
I'm leaning towards the Falkens. But if the Eagles stick about as good, I'm willing to put up the extra cash for better treadlife and less noise. General opinions are welcome too!
