Originally posted by cliffjohnson: quick question, is it legal for your boss to "bug" or record your conversations in your office without telling you? the reason i ask is b/c i share an office with this girl and her and i were talking the other day. i mentioned that i didn't think the boos liked me too much basically b/c he's always a d*ck to me. then yesterday he comes up to me and says "cliff, i don't want you to think that i don't like you, b/c i do, i think that you are a good guy" i asked her if she said anything and she says she didn't. she's a good friend of mine so i kinda believe her more than him. there have been other instances that lead us to believe this, i was just wondering if they were allowed to do something like that.
I know that your boss can read your e-mails if it's on the company server and you're using your company e-mail address. So I'm guessing that they can probably do the same with phone calls. But hey, at least your boss loves you now. Or at least says he does - kind of like my parents. Just be careful.
