When I first turn on my air conditioner in my '98 Contour ES, it smells REAL bad. I know one time I had a full beer can rolling around on the passenger side back floor (damn kids, anyway
) and it rolled under the passenger seat and was punctured, causing it to spray under the seat.
Well, I cleaned it all up with soap and water and let it dry, then sprayed the floor with Febreeze.
I've sprayed and sprayed the Febreeze on all the carpet, front and back, and still, every time I turn the air conditioning on it smells like stale beer.
My question: where the heck is the inlet to the air conditioning when it's on "Max" (recirc). Isn't it up front under the dash? How can I get the smell out? You'd think if it sucked up the fumes of the beer, you could get it to suck up the fumes of Febreeze!
