I'm using 8 guage wiring, and I have it bridged powering the 10". I think its overheating as well, becuase at night it takes a lot longer before it shuts off. It's pretty annoying and embarassing when other people are in the car. The reason I got this amp was so that when I upgrade again I can use it to power my front speakers, but that wont be for atleast a year. Turning the gain down low helps a little, but then you barely hear the sub and that makes the setup pointless
