He is awesome. I was nervous the whole time, just praying that he didn't push it in the rain. I hated to see Ulrich fall, but he really didn't lose much.

im glad ulrich wasn't ahead at the time, otherwise we'd have the skeptics saying lance wouldn't have won.

"Something must be said about that guy [over] there. And I can sum it all up in one word: courage, strength, dedication and G, U, T, S, guts! Why, he's got more guts in his little finger that most you have in the large intestine! ... Including the colon! {thud}" -- McCrosky Airplane! 2 : The Sequel
He's pretty damn badass, I'll tell ya that!

Looks like MJ and Muhammed Ali now step aside as greatest athletes in human history. This man truly is amazing and transcends words. I can't think of a person (non-military) that makes me prouder to be an American and a person than him.

Did you see when he pedaled his way down a dirt hill to avoid a collision? That was pretty damn amazing.

I think those guys were the best at their respective sport but I never considered them to be the greatest athletes ever. Their sport takes strength and endurance, but it doesn't compare to the physically grueling tasks of a tour de france, long distance running, long distance swimming, etc.
LA is amazing! Amazing to the point where they had to test his blood just make sure he was human.
