I saw a few worn down 95's in Ebay sometimes. They were sold for less than $1000.

A grand is what I'm looking to spend at the most. I've seen quite a few go on Ebay... If they hadn't been three states away, I would have been bidding...

Don't know yet. The article didn't say and the shop was closed when I called it. Most likely pretty expensive though since it's the first set on the market and all... We'll see sometime Monday hopefully...

The adjustable cam sprokets yet to be built for the rest of us. There's only one known set, jjennings has them in his Cougar via a David Z./Chris Rienke/Team Contour chain of events. The machinist in my intake manifold post is going to be attempting to build a set, starting with some spare cams I'm sending out to him today (Monday). If things go well, he may offer the work to us, perhaps on an exchange basis.

Brad, the Duratec and the Modular engines share the exact same lifter.

I'm definitely interested... I know the stock valvetrain probably doesn't think too kindly of me by now anyway... I sure loving revving the engine though.

Pricing for the 4.6 "kit" is around $3,500. I would expect the Duratec pricing to run comparably ridiculous at anywhere between $2,600 to $2,800. Keep in mind that for daily driven vehicles, a setup like this would require regular adjustment intervals of 5-10,000 miles. Additionally, the sound of 24 solid lash adjusters will end up sounding more along the lines of a mid-80's Mercedes diesel. Albeit an 8-grand capable mid-80's Merc diesel, but a loud one nonetheless.

Also don't forget that the increased rev limit will kill stock rods in short order, so this would not be for an otherwise stock motor.

Are you saying that people here aren't running lightweight 4340 forgings, or Ti's yet? I thought this was the performance forum?!
