I used the correct puller to get it off (same make and model as the DMD how to used) As for putting it back on, I only tapped it (lightly at that) until it went on far enough for the old bolt/washer to be used as a pusher. To be quite honest though, Id be all kinds of suprised if you let Ford do it, if they werent using the "bang it on" method.
