Just forget about trying to launch hard in the rain, its not going to happen!

Sometimes even if I am at low throttle I STILL get wheelhop!

Exactly. I had a V6 and the tires up front hopped like crazy, even at just 1/4 throttle. Came to find out I might as well have had drag slicks up front, the tires were so bald. Bad bad bad...but I still miss those days.

Hector, do tell your secrets! You must have some mad torque on that ATX Zetec to get wheel hop.

Sorry 'bout that. Didn't notice.

Bridgestone Turanza LS-T's may be the ticket.

Other than that you've got to look at AWD. My S60 AWD has a turbocharged 2.5L that gets a whopping 236 ft/lbs of torque at only 1,500 RPM and it only gets a little wheelspin at full throttle from a standstill in the wet. I think my 235/45/17 Pirelli's help as well.

I've got a full set of the Bridgestone LSTs on my car & I have never had wheel hop. My V-6 just scoots me wherever I point the car. I have put down a few "patches" with my ATX, & still no wheel hop.

I get wheel hop when it's wet out too even with my 4cyl and good tires, decent suspension. I've filled my top tranny mount with poly eurathane, not sure yet if it's helped or not.

Forgot to mention, "decent suspension". Upgrades there will help control wheel hop a little as well.
