That sure is a nice setup!!!
Depending on the height (definitely looks too tall  ) it would fit on our cars by just reversing the bottom flanges.

IIRC, the intakes fit on backwards already if you take the motor mount out of the way. To tall though in his design, but that doesn't mean he couldn't make shorter tubes just as easy. For FI applications, intake volume is a lot less specific. Delete the turn down, make a shorter rise on the tubes, and viola!

What is the UIM welded to back by the firewall? Shouldn't it just end there?

Instead of just capping off the two tubes individually, he used one piece or flat aluminum to hold both tubes together. It does end there.
